Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies - Episode 29: Bad Touch Musical
In today's episode of the "Dual Destinies" playthrough, we meet the aquarium's vet and watch a musical number that doesn't end well for Phoenix.
Upon starting the second investigation portion for this case, we meet Dr. Crab, the aquarium's vet who's essentially a child-friendly version of Rick from "Rick and Morty". Seriously, between his disheveled appearance, quick temper, reluctance to reach out for help, and overall snarkiness, all Crab's missing is a drinking addiction and a love of Szechuan Sauce. Heck, Crab even has his own contrasting buddy dynamic in the form of the baby penguin that lives in his hair.
Though as far as events that happen in this video, nothing can top the musical argument between Athena and DePlume purely due to the cutscenes themselves. Essentially, since both cutscenes are in the same art style and have a focus on Athena, who has a pretty active imagination, I wouldn't be surprised if they were just a product of her imagination, which adds an extra layer of comedy due to how she not only excludes Apollo and Trucy from her crew (instead replacing them with two random unnamed characters), but pictures her boss getting bad-touched. It's as if Athena sees Phoenix as this D.I.L.F. that all of the ladies want to get a piece of, even though he'd need a lot of therapy before he'd be ready to jump back into the dating pool (unless, of course, Pearl and Trucy throw him headfirst into the Phaya end).
