Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown (PC) | Mission 11: Fleet Destruction

This mission is so good it made me ruin it.
A sprawling battlefield, enemies in large numbers, absolute freedom to engage them. As great as more cinematic moments are, this is Ace Combat at its finest. And this mission in particular is the best playground AC7 has to offer - a sandbox. The large amount of heavy targets allows each and every aircraft to approach this mission in its own way. Even something like GRKT, which are generally poor, find a good use here. I even enjoy the location, a throwback to one of Ace Combat 2's climactic missions. I couldn't love it more.
There's a problem, though - my pseudo-OCD of cleaning the map goes at odds with that. Giving me so many targets gives me half the happiness - the other comes from actually managing to destroy them all. So I'll go harder and harder and harder, using better strats, aircraft and weapons (PLSL are game-breaking) to destroy more, MORE, MOOOOORE! But when I do... I'm left with just some air respawns - and that's with me going for the ships and not the platforms first, as dropping them ON the ships does, in fact, yield score. Which is disappointing, but I can't help but feel is kind of my fault. The Eagle is the canon option here and looks great in the intro, but I could have used QAAMs to match my squadron and give me a handicap to overcome.
That's my only complaint about this mission: it can't keep up with my voraciousness - which frankly, I can't blame them for.
In every other aspect, though, it's just... perfect.
