ADG Episode 30 - Covert Action
Episode Originally Released: January 8th, 2011

Finally! Audio quality that doesn't suck! :D
Getting a new camera, even if it was just an SD camera, definitely helped to improve the quality of the show. Before this point in time I was using a webcam for the video and audio... yeah... I guess we all have to start somewhere. :P
I don't have many boxes and manuals left for my DOS games since most of them I got as a kid and thus didn't save the boxes. This is a game I got later in life and thus I was smart enough not to toss any of its contents out. ;)

Additional Information and Corrections:
* This game is now available on GOG! If you wanna get a copy for yourself, click your way over to this link: http://www.gog.com/game/sid_meiers_covert_action/?pp=91dfde1d6e005e422f64a59776234f1f4c80b5e4
* In Canada, the month and day are swapped in the particular date format that's used on the receipt, so whether or not my copy was originally bought in February or December depends on whether it was bought in Canada or the US. :P
* I forgot to mention that one of the items you can take into combat is Kevlar Armour, which basically lets you take two extra hits without being incapacitated.
* I also neglected to mention that there's actually a lot of stuff you can do with the grenades in the action sequences. You can throw them through open doors into adjacent rooms, you can set them up as booby traps so that they go off when an enemy enters, and you can even set them on remote and detonate them at will.
* One thing you need to be careful of is that the saving/loading system is buggy. Never load a game that was saved between missions while you're in a mission; ONLY load from the title screen, otherwise you might end up loading the last mission you played and it might be in a very curious and unreliable state.
* Turns out double agents can't actually give you false clues as this was supposed to be coded in but either never was or was removed at some point. Not that you can't get false clues at all, but it won't ever come from a CIA person.
