I got my start in DOS gaming when I was 5 years old thanks to my father computerizing his business early on. When Dad wasn't working, I was playing games on this thing! Eventually it was outdated and Dad bought a new computer, but he never tossed this thing out and eventually gave it to me, as I still had all the disks for it! Well... most of them. I lost a few of my original copies of games over the years, though once I hit my late teens I made it a point to keep everything organized so I wouldn't lose anything more.

It's kinda weird that my DOS 3.2 disk started malfunctioning though because just a couple months prior to making this video it was working perfectly. Go figure. :P

Additional Information and Corrections:

* I don't really go into a whole lot of depth about the system, I mostly wanted to show how it works and what gameplay is like on it. If you want lots of in-depth coverage, Clint Basinger of Lazy Game Reviews has an excellent episode of his web show devoted to the system. You can find it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hn0q3IS5Tyk

* Yes, many games released in the 80's actually had separate Tandy and EGA releases. This complicates trying to get Tandy-specific versions running on modern systems because nearly all of the methods out there for getting past disk-based copy protection depend on having the EGA release. This is why I have yet to do a full review of Action Fighter and Test Drive, among others, as the less-than-legit copies I could find online to use as a substitute are lacking Tandy-specific features. :/

* Apologies if this filler seems a little boring. This video is so old and I still wasn't used to doing live action. :P
