The sequel to one of the most endearingly old school strategy games of the decade was released a few weeks ago, and if for some reason you didn't get around to checking out Age of Fear's exciting brand of turn-based tactics the first time around then The Chaos Lord represents a great opportunity to do so now.

The sequel includes new playable races, even better AI and no less than two singleplayer campaigns; "The Demon's Lover" (about the adventures of the particularly mischievous succubi Bel'Kara) and "The Horde" (which tells the story of an orc called Katzok and his rise to power). Just like AoF1, individual units gain XP and (often) carry over from one battle to the next - which means that there's no room for crappy troop or resource management since such reckless behavior will come back to haunt the player later on...
