Aika Online (2009, PC Mmo Gameplay 2020)
Aika Online was released in 2009, developed by Gala Inc, and has had a number of different publishers over the years, including HANBITSOFT, INC., OnGames, Gala Inc., Gala-Net, Gala Networks Europe Ltd.
I remember playing this game when it was first released and it was a lot of fun, especially if you liked PvP, but the PvE servers were just as fun and active. Unfortunately today, the game is not as active as I would have liked to have seen it but it was fine for just showcasing the mmo now.
Diving into this game again reminded me of how nice the graphics actually were for a game released back then, they still look fine now though. The music is nice and helps set the mood depending on where you are. The menu system is kind of a mess now, trying to navigate it feels weird.
The issue I had going back into this game is the Quest markers, they confused the hell out of me, I had totally forgot RED = Main Storyline, YELLOW = Side Quests, GREEN = Daily Quests, and BLUE = Event Quests. It's not until later in the video above that I realise this, so sorry for just aimlessly walking about.
Another issue this game has is ALL THE BLOODY TALKING for a single quest pick up, you'll find yourself skipping quest chatting very quickly, like I was in the video. It was made worse by Final Fantasy 14 for me, I just got no patience to read quests now since playing that mmo.
Would I recommend this mmo to anyone today? probably not, there's better and more user friendly mmos out there than this one
