Sunset Over Imdahl was released in 2005, it was created by Teo Mathlein using RPG Maker 2000, and is free. The game is an adventure game where you time travel through the seasons of a single year to change events happening in a plague ridden town surrounded by an invading army.


As I have previously said, i'm not really a fan of RPG Maker games but there's a few that really stand out and deserve the attention, this game being one of them. The art style is all hand drawn and looks absolutely beautiful, it's very reminiscent of the SaGa series.

The music is okay, it suits the game but get's old after jumping a few seasons, each season has a variant of what sounds like the same song that. The puzzles are pretty straight forward and easy to follow if you have the markers options on but having them off certainly adds a degree of difficulty to it.

Why this game has not had more attention over the years is beyond me, it really is an amazing game considering its made in the RPG Maker 2000 engine. I really recommend you try this one out if you are into puzzle type adventure rpg games and look similar to the SaGa series of games.
