Airframe Ultra Demo Gameplay - Struggling with the Tutorial
Hello everyone! Today, I'm bringing the demo of Airframe Ultra, an upcoming game being developed by the creators of Rain World. I recorded this video with the Xbox Game Bar.
This game is quite different from Rain World, as it's a 3D, Combat Racing game. It also features human characters riding a sort of Speeder Bikes, having none of which featured in their previous game. The only things in common are the setting and the occurrence of huge chunks of Junk and Trash in the environment. I can see it being a fun game when ready, but I got baffled that this demo didn't have any soundtrack playing, as Rain World had its soundtrack as one of its strongest selling points. Also, there is no way to change options in a "Settings" menu and I had to use the Steam Overlay to quit the game, since there is no "Pause" button. I'm certain that those problems will be ironed out by its release, but it felt awkward to exit the game like that. On the plus side, there is a lot of Customization for both the Rider and the Airframe. In fact, I spent the first 25 minutes in just exploring how many things can be customized in the game.
Lastly, I regret my embarrassing performance along the Tutorial, but I'm not accustomed to play with a Controller, let alone having to use BOTH Analogs to move around. I hope I have more time to practice when the next demo comes out, or when I purchase the game whenever it's released.
See you in the next video!
