Alfred Tries To Play: Megarace (Sega Mega-CD)
1Megarace- the only thing mega about it is that it's mega frustrating. It's a racing game with pre-rendered racetracks that must have surely looked impressive in 1994, but the gameplay isn't so good.
It's a crap RoadBlasters clone that could have been fun if it wasn't so unreasonably difficult. You have to destroy a number of opponents on the race track in 3 laps, and if you think that sounds easy, you're wrong because the laps are quite short and it never feels there's enough time to get the job done. Also your weapon is useless- in addition to limited ammo that drains fairly quickly, it only works if you're right behind your opponent.
Developed by Cryo, this game's difficulty will definitely make you cry. Cryo also developed Super Dany, and that wasn't great either, but gave you more of a chance. Cryo should have stuck to developing platformers with yoghurt mascots, but in the event they inflicted 2 more Megarace games on us instead.
Also I skip the opening 2 cutscenes, otherwise this video would have just been 90% Lance Boyle being a smug git.
