With an all new Indiana Jones film out in cinemas now (now proving that the Last Crusade was really the 'Antepenultimate Crusade'), so to mark the occasion how about I play an old Indiana Jones video game?

This game falls into the so bad it's good category. You control Indy (who else?) in a series of stages based on scenes from the Last Crusade movie. You can use your whip to defeat enemies, but combat is weird. The enemies look the same, but certain enemies either take 1 or several hits to kill, and for some reason, whenever I restart at the last checkpoint after dying, the first enemy dies in one hit even if that same enemy took about 5 hits to kill previously.

The controls feel sticky, which is why I die twice by just apparently falling down a hole, I was meant to jump, but the controls worked against me. Also Indy is a fragile guy, if you hit your head on the ceiling (not unlikely in the tight caverns of the Cross of Coronado stage), you take damage, plus Indy instantly drowns in ankle high water. Oh, and if you take too long, the stage goes dark. Yay.

So overall, as Indiana Jones said "This belongs in a museum!" Also there were 2 Last Crusade video games, this is The Action Game (the European box has this subtitle), LucasArts made a point and click title called The Graphic Adventure.

Also a quick tip you see me employ in the video- to instantly defeat the first boss, swing over to the other side while on the rope in front of the boss to collect the Cross of Coronado and trigger a rock avalanche.
