16New Dacia Duster Brings More Tech, Hybrid Power To Budget SUV Segment\nThe all-new third-generation Dacia Duster is arriving for 2024, and it aims to continue offering unbeatable value in the small SUV class. While keeping a low price, the new Duster gets fresh styling, new technology features, and even an available hybrid powertrain - a first for the rugged, no-frills crossover.\nStarting with the design, the 2024 Duster keeps its boxy, utilitarian shape but adopts a more modern look. The redesigned front end sports Dacia's latest family face with slim LED headlights. Pumped-up fenders, plastic cladding, and an upright greenhouse maintain the Duster's distinctive SUV styling. At the rear, the taillights extend into the rear quarter panels in a seamless lighting signature.\nUnder the hood, the Duster offers a few engine options including a 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder that can run on cheaper LPG fuel. But the big news is the introduction of Dacia's first-ever hybrid powertrain, a 1.6-liter gasoline-electric setup shared with the Jogger. Dacia is still holding back official specs, but the hybrid should provide a healthy boost in fuel economy over the pure gasoline engines.\nDespite its budget pricing, the new Duster's interior gets a major upgrade in technology. Higher trims swap out the basic phone mount for a large 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and built-in navigation. A digital instrument cluster is also available, creating a far more modern cockpit than the outgoing Duster.\nThe cabin still favors function over form with plenty of hard plastics, but Dacia aims to give the Duster a bit more style with unique rubber floor mats and a novel "Starkle" material made from recycled plastics. Dacia's new YouClip modular attachment system also adds practicality with mounts across the cabin for accessories.\nWhen it comes to utility, the 2024 Duster continues to impress. It retains a capacious 472-liter cargo area with underfloor storage, plus an available Sleep Pack that converts the interior into a double bed for camping. Rear accommodations are spacious as well, with ample room for 6-foot adults.\nThe new Duster looks to be shaping up as another incredible affordable SUV value from the Romanian brand. With its low projected starting price under £20,000, added tech features, and the choice of hybrid power, the 2024 Dacia Duster could give mainstream rivals like the Volkswagen T-Cross a run for their money.
