This is the sixth video composed of 10 short (2 minute or under) clips which I recorded as a user of the now defunct VYou -- an innovative social network which allowed users to record short video responses to questions and comments. This video addresses a kind of catch-all, "miscellaneous" set of topics in Philosophy. All of the clips are responses recorded in various places and at different times, where I address another VYouser's questions or comments.
The video quality is not particularly good on some of these clips -- they were recorded using older webcam technology.
0:22 Question 1: Should philosophy be used as a tool to inform or to persuade?
2:33 Question 2: How do you know this isn't all just a dream?
4:33 Question 3: What is a should, if everything about a person can be changed physically or mentally?
6:43 Question 4: How do I remind myself I have value? How do I keep a positive perspective?
8:52 Question 5: Do you believe in the power of positive thinking? We attract what we want, etc?
11:03 Question 6: Is there such a thing as "love at first sight"? What about "soul mates"?
13:14 Question 7: Does having (or being) a soulmate mean having a perfect marriage? Harmony? No fighting? Or is that an illusion?
15:23 Question 8: What does "peace" mean to you?
16:25 Question 9: What would you have done differently in your life, if you had known then what you know now?
18:32 Question 10: What are your spiritual beliefs?
[thanks to Devo oveD for charting out these time points]
I'm now soliciting new questions and comments from viewers and subscribers, to which I'll be responding in some new, higher-quality, 2 minute shorts (organized into groups of 10) -- you can leave those questions and comments on this invitation video: http://youtu.be/98rTac5WJHs
