Lost Light is a new Disney title that follows the tradition of Candy Crush, Tetris and the recently published Threes. During the time of testing Lost Light was available at an introductory price of 89 cents, Lost Light is available for iOS and Android .

The gameplay of Lost Light now works as follows: In front of you can find a carpet of numbers, wandering from the bottom to the top of the display. This numbers should not reach the top, otherwise the game is lost. Your task is to combine the numbers with swiping gestures. Similar to the succesful and recently released Threes, the numbers will add up. Depending on the level, there are certain challenges you have to master. In one level you have to combine four four numbers lying next to each other, in the next level you might have to score a certain number of points with no fixed combination - just to name two examples. Furthermore you can use power-ups that will make your life a little easier. Overall Lost Light features 100 levels, more levels can be unlocked via InApp-purchase.

My conclusion:
Lost Light is an interesting mix of Candy Crush, Tetris and Threes. The presentation is reminiscent of the famous King title, the gameplay looks a lot like Threes. Lost Light does not reach the originality and simplicity of Threes, but Lost Light scores with its intuitive gameplay, its beautiful presenation and atmospheric sounds. Additionally the one finger touch control of Lost Light can convince, even if one occasionally taps more stones than desired. All in all Lost Light could have used some more variety, because the levels are more or less the same. Nevertheless Lost Light is a beautiful puzzle title in best Disney tradition.
