I've been digging into this game recently and due to Galloping Ghost Arcade having the large dual monitor 6-player cabinet, I decided that would be the version I'd learn to clear first. It turns out that the 6-player roms are some of the most difficult ones to 1cc, especially compared to the Japanese romsets. Those J sets feature more forgiving mechanics such as useful command normals (Storm has a great d/f+attack), health drops, and being able to use mutant power special attacks with subtracting orbs from available stocks before consuming health.

This run started out really smooth, I was playing lights-out until an awful stage 6. I was lucky to escape without losing a life, barely surviving a 1 health remaining boss battle. Stage 7 was going really well until the bone breakers; If I had advanced just a little more slowly there is a chance I might not have lost a life at Mystique. The Magneto battle went OK, but he does so much damage that I was ready to start unloading all of my excess mutant power orbs if he hit me 1 more time.

While I did play out the 2nd loop, I decided to only upload the first loop of my game. I made it to Nimrod (stage 4 boss) in loop 2 with a final score of 718 kills. I used the "gapless" screen option when playing back the INP for video recording, so the action appears as 1 widescreen playfield instead of 2 with a gap in between. This does introduce slight screen tearing, but I thought it looked better this way overall.

Finally, I must give a shout out and thank LRock617 for his runs on this game. He's done clears on many of the different romsets with almost all the characters. Studying his gameplay definitely helped me out a bunch. I think he might be the only person with a legit (non-TAS) 6-player arcade version clear on YouTube...well, other than me now. :)
