Moon Dancer was previously on PC via Steam, but it just released today (7/28/22) on Switch for the Japanese region eShop with upgraded visuals.
While I really enjoyed Terarin Games last outing on Switch (Raging Blasters), I definitely am more into Moon Dancer. The lock-on mechanic is so easy to pick up and start using, even novices would get it within a few games. One thing I do like better in Raging Blasters is you immediately re-spawn but in Moon Dancer you get sent back to a checkpoint.
I definitely prefer and play more (and therefor am better at) horizontal / side-scrolling shmups, so for me to be able to grasp the mechanics and clear normal within a couple of hours probably means it would be super easy to anyone that normally plays more vertical shooters. I still have to see what hard and expert mode are like, maybe those will prove to be a huge step up in difficulty.
Definitely worth the asking price, especially since there's a launch sale (35% off or so?) on the Japanese eShop currently...2 thumbs up!
