Elite for the Acorn Archimedes (also known as ArcElite) is a conversion of the classic 1984 BBC Micro title, Elite. The Archimedes version is regarded my many as the best implementation of Elite, featuring enhanced AI and a plethora of unique features which tell it apart from other releases. Released in 1991, it was originally destined to become a space trading game called Trojan, but because of it's similarities, and to avoid lawsuits, it became an official conversion of the Acornsoft classic.
