In a few places around Skyrim, Orcs have decided to live out on their own, according to their own culture. These strongholds are really little more than villages, each one having a distinctive longhouse and a mine where the Orcs get their ore. While the longhouses have a distinctive shape, there's nothing in the game to explain why they look the way they do, and every stronghold appears to follow the same basic checklist.
