The classic horror game SCP Containment Breach used a form of level design very unique at the time called Procedural Generation. A system that randomly generated a world to play on using premade rooms. This was one of many aspects of the game that made it so iconic! People loved the concept so much, that it has since been replicated in some of the SCP Games made sense such as SCP Secret Laboratory by Northwood Studios.

However, not everyone jumped on this trend other SCP Game Studios such as Affray Interactive decided to move away from random world generation with their game SCP 5k and went with hand making maps the traditional way. In this video, I analyze the pros and cons of each system and explain the decisions I made for the game I'm making in Godot.
