There are more than a few ways to tame a dinosaur in the game, but starving a dinosaur after knocking it out is a method I like to use. The video demonstrates the method and shows well what often happens. I am playing on a beginner server, which is a bit different than the other kind of official servers. For one thing, you can only level up to 44 during the eight weeks before the server is reset, unless you also have a Chibi loaded up and can kill enough Alpha dinosaurs to power up the Chibi to level 2. One of the rewards for doing this is the avatar can now level up to 45 and continue to level up past 44 by continuing the Alpha dinosaur hunt to earn the Chibi more experience points. Many, many Alpha dinosaur kills later and the Chibi can gain another level and the avatar will be awarded another level also. The catch is the avatar has to make the final blow that kills the Alpha dinosaur, and not any pets you might use in the hunt.
