4P solo run using Aubergine


As a balancing factor in multi-player Assault Android Cactus, the more players there are, the more enemies a stage will have. Recently, Sylaris and Pinkie Pie were talking about using that feature as a way to get a more challenging single-player experience out of the game. Basically, by starting a multi-player game, and just playing one of the characters. That sounded... interesting, in an insanely hectic sort of way... so I decided to give it a try. =)

I realized I actually had three controllers (one of them is sort of old and worn down, but it's good enough for a character just to stand there and get hit), so I decided to try out a 4P solo game.

And yes, I intentionally assigned keyboard+mouse control to Starch, so she'd be the only one looking in an unusual direction. =)

4P solo Convection was... difficult. But after many many tries, I finally got a Full Chain (an A Rank instead of an S+, of course, since P2-P4 had gotten knocked down)!


Oh, BTW, according to Sycle (of Witch Beam), an EX Option to force a stage to use 4P enemy patterns (regardless of how many players there are) is something they'd already been planning to add (once EX Options get added to the game). So that should be... interesting. =)
