Atari 8-Bit Game Play, Forbidden Forest
In which I play "Forbidden Forest", developed by Cosmi, published by US Gold in 1984, and programmed by Vance Kozik. I'm going to have to give the Commmodore 64 version of this a good play, because I think it is considerably better than the Atari version. I might be wrong about that.
The game is alright, but a bit fiddly. The player has to "load" an arrow, and then it can be shot without delay in whatever direction you are aiming. It works once you get used to it, but it is clunky. The loading step gets in the way, in my opinion.
After fooling around and getting frustrated with it, I do eventually get it straight, and then I manage to get through all the parts that make up "Level 1".
