In which I play "Starbowl Football", published in 1982 by Gamestar, and programmed by Dan Ugrin and Scott Orr. Not my favourite genre of game, but it seems like a playable adaptation of (American) football to the home computer. You have quite a bit of flexibility in calling defensive and offensive plays. It's unfortunate that I was not able to complete a pass, and never even came close to scoring a point.
I can see where this could be an enjoyable game. I had some fun trying to figure out how to make things go my way, and once a person figured out the nuances, I think it would be pretty good. Two human players would probably be the best experience though.
