In this mission we are tasked with escorting a convoy of cargo ships with supplies for our forces in theater. Early Warning Radar has detected two flights of Chinese aircraft headed for the convoy.

This mission with default plane (X-29) is a bit tricky due to high number of enemy planes in the air (first group 4 attack planes and 2 escort planes, second group 3 attack planes and 2 escort planes). If you loose your wingman early you are f***ed.

Here are my first 2 attempts with X-29.
1st - Wanting to save missiles for later, me and my wingman after taking care of the first escort flight, tangled with four Q-5s in close range. As it turned out the pilots of the attack planes were capable of protecting themselves and one of them downed my wingman. It went downhill from there - my fuel lines got damaged during engagment with second escort flight and my engine died ...

2nd - Lost my wingman during engagment with second escort flight - those Flankers still fly after taking AMRAAM head on! Almost made it, there were 3 attack planes left and I was Winchester Missiles at the time, had to down them with guns before they unleash their payload on the allied ships. Unfortunately I was too late ...)

So I opted for a X-32 with its awesome load of 12 AAM (6 MRM and 6 SRM) - almost double load of X-29! Despite loosing my wingman early on I was able to accomplish the mission. My plane got some wing damage (had to mantain high pitch up attitude to not plough into ground) - fortunately I had vectored nozzles to help me land the aircraft safely.
