The American Transportation Research Institute would like every company in America to send in all of their information about driver pay, truck payments and operating costs. What could go wrong with that?! The ATRI is part of the American Trucking Association Foundation. What does that tell you? They will have info about costs and will be able to underbid companies on freight because they will know the numbers. I don't recommend people participate in this type of information sharing. Let the ATRI and all their ATA buddies guess on what the market is doing and what others are paying for trucks and salary. I am disappointed that OOIDA would even recommend participating in this "study". Encourage your company to just say no to the ATRI. Let the ATA study how much time they have drivers work WITHOUT PAY.
