Hello everyone and welcome to Music Theory with GUIM. In this installment we continue our journey into the Augmented 6th by discovering the traditional placement of the interval and what it resolves to relative to a tonal center. This is, again, crucial to understanding the history of this technique in Western music as well as the more experimental implementations.
This means we're continuing with basic application, but in the next episode we're going to begin investigating how this theory applies to chord structures, like the Italian, German, and French chords!
