The Professor finally gets their time in the spotlight! I went with Male Byleth since I did Female Alear last time. Byleth typically will spec into their Enlightened One class which does well with both Str and Mag, But since there aren’t any true hybrid classes in RD, I just settled for making him into a Swordmaster. He can still take advantage of his magic stat because of the magic weapons from PoR as well as the Daemon Card. Byleth had surprisingly middling stats even with the addition of the Enlightened One’s growth rates. Specifically, his Skl and Luck are average at best which gives him a lower than desired hit rate. The growths that aren’t middling are his offensive stats, especially with the addition of his personal skill which gives him a +2 to damage. Because he doesn’t have to worry about any skills activating in battle (Nihil), he can take advantage of the Daemon Cards really well too! He also has access to a bunch of skills that synergize well with one another. Vantage/Wrath is a terrifying combo to deal with, especially when you have to deal raw damage to defeat him, as using skills isn't an option. And Cancel works really well with Nihil because the only way to defeat Byleth is through regular damage. So, even though he can’t activate Cancel when being attacked, he can go in with a Brave Sword on his turn and more than likely get uncontested damage because of it.

The skills that I gave him were as follows:
Vantage: From Battalion Vantage via the Authority Tree.
Cancel: From one of the secondary effects of the Crest of Flames.
Wrath: From Fire Emblem Heroes, on Original Female Byleth.
Nihil: Because Byleth literally negates death with the help of Sothis. Also, Divine Pulse.
+2 Str/+2 Mag: From the upgraded personal ability Professor’s Guidance.

Weapons:

Hit: 95% (From 90%)
Mt: 16 (From 15)
Crit: 10%
I gave it a slight boost to its hit and Mt so that it was still below the Alondite in terms of damage, but on par with the Vague Katti in terms of hit rate. And obviously it can attack from two range.

I used the Zihark Swordmaster model as the base for Byleth’s model. He didn’t have access to any Crit+ skills since Enlightened One doesn’t have anything like that.

The unit with the higher base speed will initiate first. (If unit has Shade or Stillness they will always choose who goes first). If both units have the same speed, the unit whose video it is will go first.

For weapons, the unit who is faster chooses the weapon they want the unit they are attacking gets to choose a weapon to counter them with. The unit who attacks first, goes through all the possible weapon combinations and picks whatever situation would give them the best chance at victory. After the initial turn, the only time a unit can change their weapon is on their turn.
