Shinon's pupil gets his turn through the ringer. Rolf is a very weird unit, he is either very overpowering, or one of the worst in the game. I say this because he has one of the highest strength stats in the game, just behind Muarim who has 74. However, this also gives him the best damage out of any unit in base RD because of how strong the Double Bow is in RD. It not only has a crazy high might of 22, but it also gives the user +3 Str when equipped, essentially making it the strongest SS weapon in the game at 25 effective Mt tied with Dheginsea's Black Breath. However, even with the strongest straight up attack, Rolf struggles mightily with his hit rate. 53 Skill with a measly 37 Luck is not ideal especially for a unit that will be taking a -30 to Hit Rate regularly when attacked from up close. And when he does get attacked, his defenses are so atrocious that even with his 92 HP, he struggles to take hits well. Even with all that, he has access to (IMO) the best mastery skill in the game, Deadeye. As long as he hits one, he not only doesn't have to worry about taking damage, but his hit rate doesn't suffer whatsoever.

The unit with the higher base speed will initiate first. (If unit has Shade or Stillness they will always choose who goes first). If both units have the same speed, the unit whose video it is will go first.

For weapons, the unit who is faster chooses the weapon they want the unit they are attacking gets to choose a weapon to counter them with. The unit who attacks first, goes through all the possible weapon combinations and picks whatever situation would give them the best chance at victory. After the initial turn, the only time a unit can change their weapon is on their turn.
