Weekly Painting Progress- Big stuff, getting done! 10/25/21
92He finally did it! Sparkletrout finished the Dimaxotron! This lumbering beast is quite a sight to behold- I don't think the video does it justice in showing how scuffed up and peeling the paint on it is supposed to be.
Sparkeltrout's plucky space miners have certainly got an extra bit of firepower supporting them! On to the next major project!
I finished up the Spiral Dragon from Void Realm Minis as well, but I'm not as pleased with my results as I am with what my brother accomplished. The gloss is just too glossy for the camera for starters. I think I'm going to go back and matte it, and then do some glossy spots with a brush. It's hard to see the colors underneath the shine, which is a shame, as it's a really nice looking dragon!
I continued to pluck away at my Nords models for Conquest, with another Ugr done and finishing a full unit. Too bad I have at least 2 or 3 more units to go!
The Arena Rex guy is named "Cato." I'd promised myself I'd get him done before unearthing my next batch of gladiators, so be on the lookout for more soon!
Another Cobramode Hanzaki also snuck his way onto the table before I cleared off space for their October models. Love those little guys! I have the most terrible urge to see them done up as hopping Chinese vampires though, for some strange reason.
