Barro F22 by SC Jogos, 2022.

The Barro series usually comprise of muddy-looking tracks suspended in mid-air, but for Barro F22 (and the almost-clone-with-different-cars Barro GT), SC Jogos decided to replace the fictional track assets with mini versions of real-life circuits.

The developer explained that they "don't make the graphic part of my games" as the tracks come from ones available in online asset stores. As a result, the 12 (currently) tracks cover many locations, but some, like Monaco, aren't included (yet).

Sound-wise it sounds just like other Barro games. Handling is twitchy, or very-twitchy, should you disable steering help. Graphics are better than any other Barro game, but that's not saying too much!

Most of the Barro games are defined by online leaderboards, and trying to beat the world. This is similar here too.

One difference to other games I did notice is that you can gain a slipstream boost from other cars. Speaking of boost, you get limited turbo boost each lap of the race, which can make your car much quicker (and harder to handle!).

1. Race Start (Monza): 0:00 This is Monza here. You can see how twitchy the game is; touch another car and you'll invariably be left facing the wrong way almost immediately!

2. Spray Effects (Silverstone): 0:30 There's no TV camera view in the game, so here's a high following camera one instead.

3. Tunnel & View (Monaco): 0:45 Monaco isn't present, so here's a bit of the new Zandvoort track, with banked final turn.

4. Wet Track (Spa-Francorchamps): 1:04 Here on Spa I deploy my turbo boost, whilst hardly being able to see in the rain! Luckily I get through Eau Rouge and Raidillon without damage!

5. Pitstop (Interlagos): 1:20 As this is an arcade game, with no car damage, going into a pit lane causes your car to "pop" and be replaced on the main track!

6. Huge Crash (Montreal): 1:34 Crashes just slow you down briefly (and the computer controlled cars), but they're rarely hugely exciting!
