Batman Vengeance GameCube playthrough part 4: Fool's Grave: Dedicated to Kevin Conroy
Here things take an interesting turn, where in a sense the first half of the episode, Batman is more or less narrating the first few levels as it appears Joker is back, but things seem a bit sketchy. And for the first time, Batgirl otherwise doesn't offer support for the Gasworks unless you *specifically* call her, which I didn't do first time around and kinda paid for it when I rented the game.
I will say they kinda made a simple "codec" mechanic but it's merely a single button press to one person rather than several and it more or less pertains to what you're doing at any one time. Anyway, Envelope D is in the gasworks level, but rather than kill my run because it's the WORST one to get, I avoided it. And boy did I need the equipment because the mimes aren't playing around this time. Especially with the guy in the pressure station, due to him blocking that spot he's prone to grabbing you and making you fall by blocking the door so I unload every single thing I can into him to knock the sucker out before I even jump.
Seriously, I detest him. Turns out though it was Isaac Evers was behind this. Trying to use a Joker motif to keep from being suspected of burning down Gotham Industrial, but they had other plans by trying to burn down whole city. Which then leads us to a police chase, somewhat like the Spider-Man game a couple years prior. Thankfully just one level rather than several but still. And despite finding envelope E I can't seem to get max points here, I dunno why.
In spite of just barely escaping, we head to Funninones Warehouse after realizing Harley has been in on this, and while I remembered the code is 619 from a few practice runs, the only way to get full points is to find all three statues. If you look closely you'll see each are covering a different part of their face like the Three Wise Monkeys, but still, the combination is the same each time. It's just treacherous out there due to the search lights one shotting you if spotted.
You want to get onto the crates as fast as possible and stay on them for the first half of the warehouse or well you WILL get burned to death by the stupid firebomb toys. After doing a switch puzzle we find the clue we need and get the last perfect ten I can get in the game as the rest of the levels have no score, Joker isn't dead.
