So this is a redo of my old Terminator 2 Judgment Day playthrough, with a bit higher quality and no audio issues. And again with a special ending screen for you folks. So to go over a bit of a guide for a semi summery of the run, here's a partial guide of things.

Stage 1, it's interestingly a platformer beat em up briefly here, since you beat on waves of enemies before proceeding. The pipe/pool cue guys are relatively easy to take down due to being able to isolate them and beat on em one at a time. It's tricky but if timed right, each punch will actually land one after another and more quickly take them out. Due to where you tend to fight them you can't really reliably use a particular tactic.

The joggers, while you can actually rapidly hit them with punches all the time, are tricky due to the fact that they run a lot faster than the other enemy type, meaning they can close the gap a lot faster to start hitting you so isolating them is tricky. However when you get a ledge and due to them hovering around you a lot closer, you can actually jump on them and take them out in half the time, provided you have a higher spot to jump from.

If possible it is suggested to stick to higher ground to avoid the active motorcycles. The first boss has a tricky pattern to him to be sure but the trick is to goad him into swinging at you and missing, so you then close the gap afterwards to wallop him briefly before retreating.

It's best to stay still till you feel he maybe a bit too close before moving away to avoid getting hit.

Stage 2, the only driving auto scrolling level in the game and it's tricky to navigate but not impossible. A chief detail is to not really stop firing so you destroy the boxes, but also you have to blast the gates repeatedly to open them up faster. AND all the way. If it's closed a smidge it will take off a TON of health. And of course, blast the T1000's truck rapidly as fast as possible each time it shows up on screen or else he will run you down.

Now, there is a continue hidden near the end of the stage. After getting through the fourth gate, blast the car on the left till you see an icon pop out, grab it and you'll have a continue. A good way to remember on the fly is it's after the part of the channel for the T1000 charges are you twice. Once you've dispatched the truck you're past the toughest level in the game.

Stage 3, the mental institute is a multi tiered level, requiring you to find keycards that are randomly placed in the rooms on each level. Sarah Connor herself is always on the most right room on the top floor, the one labeled floor five.

Now, I can't recall which labeled floor it starts on, but an extra life is in this level. It randomly appears in a random room as well, sometimes it can appear in the same room as a keycard. It's never on the ground floor nor floor five. But I think it can appear anywhere from the fourth floor, to floor two. It's a handy thing to pick up. Now if you're unlucky enough to have to go all the way to the far right on floor 1, you will actually encounter the T1000 here. Otherwise on later floors he appears closer to the elevator.

He's invincible and is an early form of a stalker enemy to a point. As if you let him he will chase you across an entire floor, but will only follow you into set rooms. This is also where you get to use the shotgun on enemies, and the only way to NOT get a giant ding your score and weapon use is you have to cap em in the knees by ducking and then fire. Or else each kill will be negative 50 points per kill. If you want the mini gun you better not kill too many folks.

Stage 4, Cyberdyne. The birth place of Skynet and the Terminators as a whole. This is another six level place, with ten barrels you need to collect, of which you can carry three at a time and deposit on the top floor, which aside from the turrets to the right of the elevator, is clear of all enemies.

Now, do NOT enter the first door in front of you. You've only got two free shots at the back areas, so it's best to tackle the far right one on the ground floor first to first get the two barrels there, and then get a health boost before systematically clearing the upper floors. Third time onward entering these back rooms will result in S.W.A.T. being there and these guys are relentless.

Once you're down to the last barrel, do not head to the top floor just yet. Head back to the ground floor and enter the first door I told you to avoid to grab a huge ammo pick up, so you're relatively topped off for the final stage.

Stage 5, the steel mill requires very precise platforming which takes a ton of practice to get down. You have to hunt down the T1000 in spots and defeat him in order to progress. With full ammo this ain't a tough deal for the first two times. But the third time, requires precise jump landings to knock him into the flow of molten steel. And yeah if you observe, your gun vanishes at the second defeat.
