Battle of Soissons 486 AD - Attila Total war
Battle of Soissons was fought near Soissons, Aisne. 486 BC. Between the franks Under Clovis I, and last remnans of the Western Roman Empire (Domain of Soissons) under Syagrius. Clovis challange Syagrius to battle and named the time and place, thus the battle of Soissons was arranged. In the battle that follow Syagrius was defeated and fleed to the Visigoths who , under the threat of war from Clovis I, handed him over for execusion.
As a Consiquense of the the battle, the frankish kingdom dubbled in size and was bordering the Visigoths who was themselfs routed at the Battle of Vouillé in 507.
Gregory of Tours (Gallo-Roman historian) mentions that one Chararic (someone) had brought his forces to the battlefield but then stood aloof, hoping to ally with the winner
