0Battle Shapers is an exciting upcoming roguelike FPS set to launch on December 4, 2024. The game takes place in New Elysium, a robot city teetering on the edge of chaos. Players control Ada, an android reactivated for a final mission to reclaim the corrupted utopia. As Ada journeys through the city’s dangerous, trap-filled towers, she battles waves of mechanical enemies and powerful Overlords who control the ruins.
The combat system blends ranged and close-quarters attacks, with a power meter that builds through successful combos. Special abilities require precise timing and smart positioning, rewarding aggressive play while punishing careless actions. Boss battles evolve based on player strategy, forcing constant adaptation. Defeating an Overlord grants Ada their core, unlocking new abilities and altering her appearance. Each core offers different playstyles, from close-range combat to long-range tactics.
The Shaper Hacks system adds an extra layer of strategy, letting players manipulate environmental hazards, rewards, and power-ups, offering multiple ways to approach each challenge.
Drawing inspiration from games like Doom Eternal, Hades, and Mega Man X, Battle Shapers combines familiar roguelike and FPS elements with deep, coherent mechanics to create a truly unique experience.
