NEW Roguelike Alert! Dungeon Clawler's Shocking Claw Machine Battles
0Dungeon Clawler is a new unique roguelike deck builder with a twist currently in development. Instead of building a traditional deck, you accumulate items that get dropped into a claw machine. Your turn’s actions depend entirely on what the claw picks up, leading to moments of chaotic frustration when things don't go as planned — but also exhilarating bursts of success when you’re lucky enough to grab the perfect items. This randomness (RNG) provides both a challenge and a dopamine rush, making it a core part of the experience.
As a roguelike, it’s a fresh take. The learning curve can be steep, but it’s rewarding to progress and discover new builds as you unlock more characters and items. Some items dramatically change the way you approach a run, offering endless variation and strategic depth. The slower, methodical pace appeals to both casual and more strategic players, and the risk/reward elements — especially around managing health and healing — keep things tense and interesting.
There are plenty of characters to unlock, though I've only explored the first two so far. While the normal mode feels fairly easy — I've won 1 out of 2 runs — it’s nice to have a more relaxed pace to learn the mechanics and experiment with new strategies. Though there’s no tutorial, the game is intuitive enough to figure out on your own. The slow pace is a bonus for those who enjoy a zen-like experience while still being challenged.
Overall, Dungeon Clawler is a gem with huge potential, and I’m excited to see how it continues to develop.
