I absolutely loved the force grab implementation. If there's any takeaway from this game, it's that more developers should look at this type of tracking mechanic for identifying what people are trying to grab.

There's something off about the physics. B&S is still the king there but I did like what I saw. There's just something not quite right that I can't put my finger on. Maybe it's the severed heads not having physics interactions or the occasional breaking of those rules for magical means like the launching attack or when trying to throw an item and it launches like a bullet. It might have been the lack of weight on enemies pulling your sword down towards the ground when they slump, dead. There's just something that detracts from the physics a bit.

I love that there are actual levels to traverse and bosses to fight. This section is head and shoulders above B&S. Unfortunately the environments are very basic and bland. A little spice, and an environment artist, would go a long way to improving the game visually. I could do without the wave shooter levels entirely. I don't think they really add any value. Especially if the maze levels are procedural.

Visually the game could use some polish. I couldn't really tell if the intent was to be grimm dark fantasy or a bit more whimsical. Some of the skeleton models looked like the would fit a bit better in a more lighthearted world and then there were some that had very edgelord armor/textures.

The audio was largely unremarkable. Nothing really good or bad stood out except for that first level. The lack of any audio when starting the game is a little off-putting. I had to double check that my audio was on and working after launching the game. Other than that minor gripe, nothing of note to complain about.

If you love B&S like me but just want a little bit more, definitely give this game a spin. It's free... You can't beat that price. While you're at it, join the Discord and give some feedback.
