Chapter XIV is truly the low point in all Bayonetta games. The best part is when the Giant Beloved is right on top of you and you can't even see him.

I honestly thought this was going to be impossible without Accessories. I spent most of the time trying to get down that stupid street after Verse 1. Your technically in Verse 2 so you can’t get hit but there’s random destructible making you fire the wrong direction.. I didn't mind this one as much since I'm playing Rosa, but Pure Platinum on this is a Jeanne player the first time was a huge adjustment, and then felt like a waste of time immediately after.

The camera constantly fucks with you, auto-lock constantly fucks with you, enemies either don’t fit on camera or block others from view, Verse 4 has a glitch that makes it impossible to complete, and these combo medals are somewhat ridiculous. The entire time I was worried I would end up short on combo points.

Anyone in their right mind should do this with Bracelet of Time and Gaze of Despair because actually getting Witch Time off dodges and keeping combos going is a matter of luck during some of these Verses.

You can’t taunt with Umbran Armor.. If your combo drops during any of these Verses and you aren’t using Gaze of Despair you’re almost certainly looking at a Gold Combo Medal. A few of the Platinum Time medals are also pretty strict. Verse 3 may look like fun, but it’s actually pretty obnoxious on ∞ Climax. Even the Compassion here will recklessly charge your Umbran Armor if you leave them for a second, you need a good time here but you don’t want to overkill everything and end up short on combo points..

Verse 4 has the exact same issue, if you end up launching all the Belief off the edge before racking up some points you definitely won’t be getting the Pure Platinum. Try to knock them the same direction your going, you can actually go ahead and activate the small cutscene and any left on the bridge will still be there. This makes it easy to keep your combo going as you move onto the next group.

Once I realized Rosa could get the combo medals this was actually kind of fun. But some of these attacks on ∞ Climax are straight up broken. Just another reason why I like Jeanne, I just mash dodge when I can't time it.. It kind of works with Rosa but you don't get the extended Witch Time. There's also some real weirdness when it comes to the Witch Time duration, some projectiles tend to give more duration than things like full on bodyslams and other times the duration is so brief you really can't do anything off it.

This is still 100 times easier than Bayonetta 1 Chapter XIV. It's actually a pretty decent Chapter on it's own, but annoying to redo during Pure Platinum runs. Even more annoying with restrictions because you basically need Witch Time for the combo medals.
