In this video we start out as a new character with a backstory of former soldier. This means he starts with a bit more gold, some equipment and some skills but because he is old, he has a lack of stamina. We have to reach 100,000 gold to win the game with this character! Probably something that wont happen in this rougelike rougelite game until I get much better at it. Losing is fun, as they say!
We equip some weapons, do a bit of training and head into our first one on one battle. Amazingly, we win a victory against an untrained criminal, and then again against a pit slave after that. The crowd loves it! I forget to pick up a weapon as a prize in the spoils to the victor match, but that's okay! In the next match I go up against a much more skilled barbarian and it all goes wrong when I drop my weapon and shield and he picks them up and uses them against me! Oh no! We are dead, Dave!
We make a new character, a professional aspirant and win a fight! The rest will be for another episode!
