The Bellowback is a medium-sized Transport Class machine.

In appearance, they resemble a theropod dinosaur, with a long snout, a tail and two sturdy hind legs with three-toed feet.
Integrated into the top of it’s chassis is a large cargo sac used to carry either Blaze or Chillwater, and they also have a system of tubes located along the gullet, these are made of a tough, transparent material.
For protection, they have armour-plating protecting the cargo-sack from frontal attacks, as well as a Hard outer casing to protect synthetic muscle and operational systems.
The head features a pair of optical sensors located on top and a long snout ending in a spray nozzle, which is used to project an arc of liquid. In the case of a Fire BellowBack, it fires a controllable jet of flame; and a Freeze BellowBack will shoot a high-pressure stream of Liquid Nitrogen.

As part of Zero Dawns terraforming operations, Bellowbacks acted as transport vessels to ferry Blaze and ChillWater between Cauldrons, as well as carrying out land management duties in the form of controlled burning to clear away large areas of dense forest by the Fire Models, with the Freeze Models functioning as fire extinguishers to control the flames, suggested by the fact that they are commonly seen together.
BellowBacks are usually found in either pairs or groups of three, patrolling a set area.
In response to Human machine-hunting, their default programming was altered to become hostile against any humans they encountered.
Upon spotting a threat, they will emit loud, angry sounding shrieks before attacking; during their pursuit of a target, they are strong and heavy enough knock over trees in their way.
Their attacks mostly utilise their ability to release Chillwater or Blaze from their nozzles, and will spray it directly at an enemy, or around on the ground in a wide-circle; At long range, they can fire balls of it in a trajectory.
If close enough, they will charge as a melee attack.
Its main tactical weaknesses are the cargo sac and gullet pipes. Arrows will rupture them, causing a large elemental explosion and inflicting critical damage on the machine, alongside anything else caught in the blast radius, and will also deprive the machine of all its ranged attacks.
