Better collapse PHYSICS than Teardown?
Teardown is an amazing game with great visuals and smart voxel physics. HOWEVER, in order to make it playable in real time some of the collapse physics used in the game had to be compromised because it would require too much computational power and time.
Here's a 3D simulation that I made of an 8.0 earthquake which reflects some of the best collapse physics that I've seen - which I hope it will one day be incorporated somehow in the game. Same as Teardown, it uses different material properties and breaking thresholds, densities, friction and bending settings.
Let me know what you think about it and what kind of other structures you'd love to see next in my simulations!

This simulation was created in Blender 3D with the Bullet Constraints Builder (BCB) which extends Blender´s basic physics functionality with a sophisticated toolset to simulate load dynamics in building structures. It establishes constraining connections between rigid bodies that incorporate real world behavior and parameters.
