The player character is a Fazbear technician named Arnold. While driving his truck, Arnold is informed by dispatch that he has a new job. A Fazbear contractor named Edwin Murray, was working on tech for Fazbear. Edwin has gone quiet and now legally, everything he worked on is Fazbear property. Arnold's job is to go into Murray's Costume Manor and retrieve the tech Murray was working on.
Before entering the building, Arnold is given a Data Diver, that acts as a key for the entire MCM building.
After entering the building through a side door, Arnold is greeted with an extravagant welcome show meant for clients. At the end, the show malfunctions and the power goes out. He finds a way to the security room and activates a generator to get inside, where the Dispatch is talking over a speaker. The Dispatch says that there is still something else moving around in the building. They believe it to be a prototype endoskeleton that could become any costume or character that encountered some homicidal glitch.
