In order to unlock the Gray Matter Propulsion achievement, you must headshot, and kill, 20 enemies with the .357 Magnum. This beastly revolver can be found at the end of Chapter 6. After killing the tentacle monster thingy with fire, climb down the long ladder where it was. You will drop into water at the bottom, and the .357 Magnum can be found by emerging from the water and looking around.

Once you have the Magnum, proceed to where the first Gargantua appearance is (right after you find the Tripmines). Avoid the Gargantua, and climb the ladder up to the upper floor. There will be a path you can take on some pipes right past the First Aid Station that leads into a short, narrow hallway. At the end of the passage, drop down onto the grate and break it to fall down to the lower floor.

Once you are down here, MAKE A MANUAL SAVE! There are some enemies in the area, so pull out the Magnum and start shooting them in the head. Once you have killed all of the enemies, pause the game and reload your manual save. This will restore your ammo and respawn the enemies. Now, once again kill the enemies with headshots, and then reload your save. Repeat this process until you have killed 20 enemies with headshots, and the achievement will unlock!

This can be done anywhere in the game with the .357 Magnum, but these are the first enemies you run into after getting it, so you may as well knock it out now. Also, once you have unlocked the achievement, you can reload one last time to get your ammo back in case you want to save it!
