Black Mesa - How To Unlock The Ethically Questionable Achievement! Tips In The Description!
0In order to unlock the Ethically Questionable achievement, you must conduct all of the research experiments in Chapter 11, Questionable Ethics. There are a total of 5 throughout the level.
00:00 - Experiment 1 - Right at the start of the level, you will see an Alien Grunt in a pod. Go into the room right across from it and press the red button on the console to kill it.
00:32 - Experiment 2 - Shortly after killing the Alien Grunt in the pod, you will go down a hallway and see a door at the end with a sign that says A07 - Minor Xenos next to it. Go in this room. There is a console with a button that fires Snarks, and a big red button near the wall. Press the big red button, and then afterwards, keep pressing the button on the console to shoot Snarks until the door opens and no more Snarks can be shot out of the weapon.
01:18 - Experiment 3 - A little further past experiment 2 you will enter a room with some stairs on the right side that lead up to a small room. Go up the stairs into the room and you will find a button on the console that will release the door on the bottom floor, freeing the Bullsquid. Press it, and then press the big red button on the wall to the right to fry the Bullsquid.
02:08 - Experiment 4 - Once you get to the room that has the Snark weapon you can pick up, you will see a yellow cannister nearby on the counter. Grab it and place it near the locked door on the other side of the room. Once you have done this, press the button near the cannister, and it will leak green gas into the enclosure with the Headcrabs, killing them.
02:53 - Experiment 5 - After the last experiment, you will eventually go up to the Weapons and Research area. In this area, there are 4 lasers scattered around in the rooms (they are all pretty close to each other). Find all 4 lasers and interact with the consoles near them to turn them on. Once all 4 lasers have been turned on, go to the room with the HUGE laser (this will now be powered up). DO NOT UNPLUG THE SHIELD FROM THE WALL! Keep it plugged in until after you do this! If you unplug it, the shield will not activate and you will burn a hole through the wall which leads to the next area, but the laser will not be usable afterwards! Go behind the glass and press the test fire button to shoot the laser into the shield, and if you did all 5 experiments, the achievement will unlock!
