Thank you to everyone, whether coming back for the third and final longplay of the trilogy on my channel, or just coming to see some good, long, adventure game in one cut, for reading the description, and watching the longplay! Thank you also for any and every Like and Subscription you may want to throw in my way. :))
In the final chapter of this acclaimed horror trilogy, Black Mirror III picks up right where the thrilling ending to Black Mirror II left off.
Only a short time ago, Darren Michaels was a quiet store clerk in a sleepy New England town. Now in Willow Creek, England, a tormented Darren barely reacts as police handcuffs are closed on his wrists. All the evidence points to him, and the police have arrested Darren as their primary suspect in a fatal crime. He's subjected to extensive questioning, but Darren is numb to the events occurring around him, and has withdrawn into a deep emptiness. Then after several weeks of incarceration, Darren is unexplainably released.
But he is not free. Darren remains terrorized by sleepless nights, nightmare-like visions, and the chilling specter of murder and death.
And so the Black Mirror trilogy ends for me, for this channel! Gotta be honest, it went just like it had when I had first played it. Probably the least climactic and well done of the three, but still a very good horror-adventure game. There is some sense that the budget of the game was much smaller, looking at the pre-rendered cinematics in the game and overall "scale" of the game. May be just my imagination, but just the feeling I had. I think it's not a big surprise to anyone watching my earlier Black Mirror longplays, but I certainly am not the biggest fan of the ending of this trilogy, and I mean the end of this specific game. It's not... bad, doesn't leave you with questions... just it's disappointing somewhat. I'd call it a very good adventure game, with a not so good ending, and it hurts the most as it's the final chapter of the awesome trilogy. Love Darren's/Adrian's "moments" of weakness tho, and his modified voice. I know they are meant to be scary/thrilling, but I actually found them to be insanely hillarous. xD
