Resistance: Fall of Man | 1440p | Longplay Full Game Walkthrough No Commentary
Full game longplay of Resistance: Fall of Man, a PS3 Exclusive, and a launch game for the system back in Nov 2006/March 2007 for NTSC and PAL regions respectively. A classic first person shooter, one of the best game of the launch, best looking ones overall (says me), and a very successful one both comercially and critically. Played on a real PS3 hardware, using 720p display mode (the only one available). Recorded in 1440p high bitrate.
Thanks for watching the longplay and reading the description, I appreciate every Like and Subscribe button hit thrown at me if you feel like it. :))
Definitely the highest point of the Resistance trilogy (the main line), and one of the best shooters I've played for a while, actually. It definitely was meant to compete with Halo 2/3 and well, I'd say it pulled it off, though ofc a lot of Halo's success is multiplayer, and here I wasn't able to check anything as it's long dead since 2014. Fun game, but definitely on the very difficult side, definitely not for the casual players, it's bound to quickly twist your nipples in the later stages. I've changed the difficulty setting for Casual in about 75% of the game, simply because dying 20 times on one segment wasn't really to my liking, and wouldn't look good on the camer either. It's *hard*. But i'd say it was worth it. A beautiful game, with a perfect clean visual quality. No idea how it's possible that the literal launch title for PS3 is one of the most "stable and clean" looking game to come out on that platform. Like PS4 launch titles, the Order 1866 and Killzone, visually beautiful, gameplay aside. Overall, hard, sometimes unfair (shooting through the walls, enemies won't hesitate to do that too), playable, good, beautiful game worth the praise it got. Damn shame what came after it doesn't deserve most of those traits. Buuuuut it's coming along to this channel regardless, in fact it's already recorded and just waiting to be released into the wild. :))
In the 1900s, an insect-like alien race known as the Chimera arrive in Russia. Using advanced technology, they infect hundreds of innocent civilians and subject them to artificial evolution, creating a diverse army of creatures ranging from simple foot soldiers to spider-like giants. By 1949, all of Europe has fallen to the Chimera. The following year, a vast invasion force tunnels under the English Channel, conquering much of England and leaving only scattered pockets of human resistance.
In 1951, the United States, despite taking a position of neutrality in the conflict, sends a task force to assist the UK as part of "Operation Deliverance". Among the soldiers is Army Ranger Sgt. Nathan Hale. However, soon after landing in York, he and his squad are ambushed by enemy troops, who infect them with the Chimera virus. Hale, the only survivor, discovers that he has an innate resistance to full infection. Instead, he gains increased strength and reflexes, the ability to instantly heal light injuries, and gold-colored irises, a common trait of the Chimera.
