BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger (arcade mode) playthrough Part 5
I really do like this game. At least, some of the game. It does feel good to play. It just has some balance issues. Some "first game" teething issues that I hope get ironed out in the sequels. I thought today was going to be fraught with suffering. Rachel, Carl, and Arakune. None of them I really liked. But Rachel surprised me. I was getting the hang of her, a bit. Not enough to actually WIN when it came to the bosses, but I was able to get to them fairly well. But, really, that's just because the AI didn't want to cross the lightning rods. A player would have destroyed me. Carl.. yea no. He didn't even make it past the second fight. I knew he wouldn't last long. I CANNOT get him to work, at all. I can't get the puppet to work properly, even using the moves the game says. Down down D didn't bring her to me when I needed it. I was just done. Arakune though... I'm pretty sure this character needs a bit of a rework, because my goal was to get the curse rings on the opponent, and then just spam everything. Because that sends things flying in from off screen. So my goal was to fill the screen with damage. And it worked way better than it should have. Even against Hakumen and v-13. It should not have worked. It really shouldn't have worked against v-13.
