This is damn damn fine Zelda-like top-down action game. It's pretty simple you are a vampire and are trying to exact revenge on your killers. In the process you are then thrown head first into someone else's machinations for their own revenge. The gameplay lop is pretty simple, hack enemies to pieces and drink their blood for sustenance. You get a pretty large variety of items, weapons and magic. You can even transform into a bat for transportation, a werewolf for platforming, and even mist to slid through bars and cracks in walls. It's pretty cool. The combat is a little clunky and you will find yourself menuing a lot.I played the PC version but I have seen that the Playstation version has an ungodly amount of loading for every little thing you do. I used a patch to get the game running at 60FPS, fix some sound issues, and to also improve the FMV's. The game is not super long, but finding all of the secrets is something else. You probably would need to follow a guide to get them all with how obtuse a lot of them are. The sad thing is that there is a point of no return the game never warns you about and it's easy to pass it by without even noticing. I liked the game quite a bit. Enjoy my blind playthrough.
