0There's only a handful of boss fights remaining between me and the end of the game... and then another collection of optional boss fights to attempt after that, including revenge on the 8-bit realm after I acquire some fun new weaponry.
It's kind of ridiculous how trivial Valefar is when you've spent all your gold and also take advantage of the Aegis armor. I do still think it's a super-questionable design decision to steal 100% of players' gold right near the end of the game...
As for the last bosses, I certainly face-tanked a bunch of damage - probably literally on the final boss, because the hitboxes/hurtboxes are so mysterious (while also being adjacent to the floor/walls/ceiling) that it's incredibly easy to just walk right into them while simply trying to get close enough to land attacks.
Next week I'll finally try out the other playable characters (which I've never played before), starting with Zangetsu!
