Control part 3: Contain your excitement (PC / Ultimate Edition)
0We finally meet face-to-face with Jesse's long-lost brother, Dylan, and the encounter probably leaves more questions than answers. There are so many variables in the equation, and it's still up in the air as to whose side each party is on. I'm also just a bit jealous of Dylan, because with all these dreams he's having he must get to sleep A LOT.
While I've continued to make story progress - and acquired a new ability that has the potential to be a significant progression mechanic - I've also been picking up a ton of side missions... which I unfortunately haven't been a big fan of so far, between the seemingly unsurvivable timed missions, and one side mission I attempted in this stream. That side mission led to just about the worst-designed boss fight I could ever imagine - think the final Bowser battle of Super Mario 64 where he breaks the ground, except the ground is never in view because you're busy aiming up at the boss in this case, so you inevitably fall immediately to your death every single time you try to dodge.
The game has additionally opened up what seems likely to be an infinitely-replayable excursion, which I can't imagine I have any interest whatsoever in trying yet, given the immense difficulty I've experienced with other side missions so far. Why waste Source on that when I've got plenty of weapon forms and upgrades yet to obtain? It feels geared towards being a decidedly late-game endeavor, which has me wondering just how far through the game I am right now, given that there should still be plenty left to explore.
