You know that feeling when you play Mario Kart and you're way out in front of everyone else, first place baby, and then you get hit by some obnoxious item and you come second? It's so frustrating. There's literally an item in the game that punishes the guy in first for being too good.
It's like the opposite of when you get kills in League of Legends and get gold that give you items, which makes you win even harder. Why do game devs design their games this way?
