Today is not so much a discussion as a question: can a company become too big to use Kickstarter? It is ever reasonable to say they should get development funding from other sources? In a word.... maybe? But I honestly don't know... do you?

Some of the biggest and most commercially successful board game companies are almost exclusively funded by Kickstarter campaigns. Why is this? After a certain point, shouldn't it make more sense that they expand and start working in a more malleable way? At the same time, there's plenty of both small and large companies who remain successful without KS. So..... when and how can the transition happen?

Frankly, I have no idea! Do you, though? I'd love to hear some insight from you all about this, or just let me know your personal thoughts on having these "KS-successful" companies coming back over and over. Put it all in the comments!!
